VLSP Presents Lifschitz 2006 Outstanding Volunteer Award

The Volunteer Legal Service Program (VLSP), a division of the Bar Association of San Francisco, recognized Attorney Eric Lifschitz as one of its outstanding volunteers for service to the community by presenting him with a 2006 Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award.
Each year, VLSP selects a group of volunteers to receive its Outstanding Volunteer in Public Service Award. This is the fifth year in succession that the VLSP has recognized Lifschitz’s continued Pro Bono legal service.

Lifschitz Elected District 4 CYLA
September 2005, San Diego
Attorney Eric Lifschitz was sworn in as District 4 representative for the California Young Lawyers Association (CYLA) a division of the State Bar of California. Supreme Court Chief Justice Ronald George administered the oath of office to Lifschitz at the State Bar’s annual convention here. District 4 covers both San Francisco and Marin counties.
Lifschitz Pursues Publication Opportunities for CYLA members

In an effort to meet the continuing goals of the CYLA membership outreach and participation, Eric Lifschitz proposes that the CYLA engage the California Bar Journal to commit
to providing print space for CYLA member submissions of articles on a regular basis.

Lifschitz Gives Speech At Swearing In Ceremony For Newly Admitted Attorneys
December 2004, Oakland California
As District 4 Representative for the California Young Lawyers Association, Eric gave a speech at the mass swearing in ceremony in Oakland, California. Focusing on his building a law practice through heavy emphasis on pro bono representation, Eric conveyed the privilege and fulfillment at representing under served communities.

Lifschitz Appointed to CYLA Board of Directors
October 2004
San Francisco Attorney Eric Lifschitz has been appointed to represent the interests of young California lawyers as a member of the Board of Directors of the California Young Lawyers Association, a division of the State Bar. California Supreme Court Chief Justice Ronald George swore in Eric with other new board members during the State Bar's Annual meeting in Monterey on October 9, 2004. Also in October 2004, Lifschitz was a speaker at the CYLA's first Career Symposium presenting on the topic of "going solo."

Attorney Eric Lifschitz joined a panel discussion and fielded listeners' questions concerning landlord/tenant rights and responsibilities relating to household toxic mold growth on "Your Legal Rights with Chuck Finney" radio show on KALW (91.7 F.M.)
Lifschitz Wins State Bar 2003 Berman Award
November 2003
California Young Lawyers Assocociation (CYLA) selected San Francisco Attorney Eric Lifschitz as recipient of the 2003 Jack Berman Award for Distinguished Service to the Profession and the Public. The CYLA, part of the State Bar of California, cited Lifschitz for his 175 hours of Pro Bono work on behalf of low-income families.
